Hong Kong ¡V Japan Fur Exhibition 2006 The annual Hong Kong ¡V Japan Fur Exhibition organized by the Hong Kong Fur Federation (HKFF) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council being the co-organizer of the event was held in Tokyo and Osaka from 3-4 July and 6-7 July respectively at Tokyo Hilton Hotel and Osaka Hilton Hotel. There were 20 exhibitors participated in the above event this year. Against the backdrop of the ever-changing consumer attitudes and tastes towards fur fashion, HKFF previews the latest fur techniques and trends at a fur trend seminar targeting new group of buyers. Speaker Ms. Portia To, fur & fashion designer and lecturer of a design college in Hong Kong presented the newest fur techniques at the seminar. With the aid of the swatches of new fur materials, she introduced the following exciting directional influences based on Consumer Attitudes & Lifestyles in fur fashion for Autumn / Winter 2006-07: ¡@ Consumer Attitudes

The Modern Traditionalist The Modern Libertarian The seminar was then followed by a fashion presentation, displaying fur collections manufactured by the Hong Kong furriers and last but not least, the Designers Love Fur collection as the finale created by Hong Kong renowned designers. All of the above showed how there is no limit to the number of ways fur can be used today, and that for the modern world, fur is the most natural, beautiful and luxurious fashion choice. Furthermore, with an objective to further promote the Hong Kong fur industry, a meeting between HKFF Directors and the representatives from a renowned department store was scheduled on 4 July in Tokyo. This useful meeting not only brought fresh ideas but also encouraged further cooperations between Hong Kong and Japan fashion industries.¡@
